2018 Goal: Mine is to EXPLORE

Explore the world. Explore my network. Explore every opportunity.

Explore the world. 2017 was a year of firsts in this arena (China, Singapore, Portugal, and Washington D.C. for the kids) and it left the p5 family wanting to explore even more. Getting out and exploring new destinations, whether down the road or on the other side of the world provides new cultural perspectives and new bonds in an ever-expanding network. In 2018, the aim is to explore a new destination in the Caribbean and a new "world" in the Disney universe.

Explore my network. I continue to learn about the power of your personal and professional network...not only do I run into the intersection of these two more frequently than ever, I am starting to understand how to leverage them. In 2017, I made and grew connections from conferences, on airplanes, and via my Crossfit group. In 2018, I will leverage those connections to build the p5 brand, both in person and via social media, and drive a never ending desire to learn and grow.

Explore every opportunity. In the same vein as the the drive to learn and grow, if an opportunity comes along, I want to experience every aspect of it. My definition of opportunity has also grown. Opportunity used to mean a new "job". Now the definition has morphed into an experiential meaning. Whether it's providing consultative advice to a friend or participating in new industry forums, I know that I can use these experiences to grow personally and also grow p5 into an entity that can make a difference.
